| We often hear of new technological improvements – robots, gadgets, phones, vehicles and more. But these are just part of the picture of scientific achievement. No less important is the field of Material Science & Engineering which has invented some amazing materials that may forever change our lives. When I joined the “Materials” family in university, all courses such as “Materials Science and Engineering an Introduction”, “Introduction to Metallurgical Thermodynamics” … etc. leading me to a new world and studying from the basic (from atom to cell, from cell to crystal structure, from crystal to all different kinds of material.) The courses arrangement from department go from the easy to the difficult and complicated really helped me to eliminate the strangeness and even inspire me to dive deeper in the material world. I was lucky to join Prof. Kuo-Jung Lee’s lab at my junior year. This chance provides me to do project on hand and I can verify the knowledge which learned from the text books. This precious experience help me even right now to do all projects in my jobs. (How to design an experiment, how to find the root cause from all possibilities, how to correct and improve the design and process). Furthermore, the training in university also help me to develop a good mindset to face all challenges. In the big family of dep. of Mat. & Eng., all the professors, seniors always be patience and passion to provide helps. I sincerely hope you can join this family and find your own gorgeous life.
